Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information AdmitForge (“AdmitForge,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to our website, apps, and tools (the “Service”). We have written it in plain language on purpose. Where a point affects your rights or your data, we say so directly.

The short version

• Your application materials belong to you. We do not sell them, we do not use them to train AI models, and we do not access them except to run or support the Service.
• We collect the minimum we need: your account details, the materials you create, a log of AI actions on them, and basic usage and analytics data.
• When you use a forge feature, the relevant content is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your critique or outline, under terms that do not permit training on your data.
• You can export or delete everything from your settings at any time.
• We use privacy-respecting analytics and no advertising trackers.

1. Who we are, and scope

AdmitForge provides guidance tools for people applying to MBA and graduate business school programs. For privacy law that uses these terms, we are the “controller” (or “business”) responsible for the personal information described here. This policy covers everyone who uses the Service, worldwide. If you use a free tool without an account, only the sections that apply to that tool apply to you.

2. Information we collect

We do not intentionally collect special-category data (such as health, race, or religion). Please do not put information you consider sensitive into free-text fields unless it is genuinely part of your application story.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the Service: store your work, generate the critiques, outlines, and questions you ask for, and keep your account working.
• To apply fair-use limits and keep the Service reliable and secure.
• To support you: answer questions and fix problems you report.
• To process payments and manage memberships (when paid plans launch).
• To communicate with you: service messages, and, if you opted in, application-season updates you can leave at any time.
• To improve the Service using aggregate, non-identifying analytics.
• To meet legal, security, and fraud-prevention obligations.

4. Legal bases (for users in the EU, EEA, and UK)

We rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR and UK GDPR:

If your content happens to include special-category information (for example, an essay that discusses health, religion, or ethnicity), we process it only to provide the coaching you asked for, on the basis of your explicit consent or because you have chosen to include it, and you can remove it at any time.

5. How AI processes your content

When you use a forge feature, the relevant part of your content is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate the critique, outline, or questions you asked for. This happens under Anthropic's commercial terms, which do not permit training on your data, and we keep the identifiers sent alongside your content to a minimum. AI output is guidance only: it can be wrong, it is never a guarantee of any outcome, and you are responsible for reviewing it and for following each school's AI-use and disclosure policies. We never use AI to write or submit an application for you.

The AI produces coaching feedback for you to consider; it does not make any automated decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you. You stay in control of your application, and a human (you) decides what to write and submit.

6. How we share information, and who processes it for us

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use your content to train AI models. We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and only as needed to run the Service:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this policy.

7. How long we keep it (retention)

• Your account and content: for as long as your account is active. You can delete any item, or your whole account, at any time from your settings.
• After you delete your account: content is removed from our live systems promptly, and clears from routine backups on their normal cycle (generally within 30 days). We keep a minimal deletion record (your email and the dates the account was created and deleted) for legal, security, and fraud-prevention reasons: up to 3 years for accounts that never paid, and up to 7 years where we had a paid relationship, then we delete it.
• Waitlist and free-tool email: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.
• Analytics data: kept in aggregate; identifiers are retained only as long as needed for the purpose above.

8. How we protect it

We use reputable hosting and database providers, encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security so that your account's data is scoped to you. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can reach it. Keep your password private, and tell us at support@getadmitforge.com if you think your account has been accessed without permission.

9. International data transfers

We operate in the United States, and our service providers are located there. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent UK protections.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of these rights:

• Access a copy of your personal information (your settings offer one-click JSON export of everything you have).
• Correct information that is inaccurate.
• Delete your information (your settings offer one-click account deletion).
• Port your data to another service.
• Restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent for anything based on consent (such as marketing email).
• Opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell or share your personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you have the right regardless.
• Non-discrimination: we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise a right, use the export and delete controls in your settings, or email support@getadmitforge.com. We will respond within the time the applicable law requires (generally within 30 to 45 days), and we may need to verify your identity first. EU, EEA, and UK users also have the right to complain to their local data protection authority, though we hope you will contact us first so we can help.

11. Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the Service secure. We use privacy-respecting product analytics on our own pages to understand what is working. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not run ad-targeting cookies. Session recording and autocapture of your inputs are turned off.

12. Children

The Service is for applicants who are at least 18 years old. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service and the law evolve. When we make a material change, we will update the version and effective date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the updated policy.
